Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RIPMoney (the "Website" or the "Service"), operated by the RIPMoney team ("we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account, buying credits or otherwise using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website. 1. What RIPMoney is (and is not)

RIPMoney is an entertainment and novelty website. You buy credits with real money and spend them to "rip" that money: each click burns one credit and reveals a message of varying rarity, which is added to your collection. You can browse your collectibles, appear on the leaderboard, download a certificate and propose trades of collectibles with other users.

The Service is explicitly not an investment, savings, financial, payment or money-transmission service. Credits and collectibles are not currency, securities, tokens, or financial instruments of any kind, and they carry no monetary value outside the Website. Spending credits is not gambling: there is no wager, no prize of monetary value and nothing of value can ever be won or cashed out. The outcome of a click has no financial consequence beyond the credit it consumes.

Money you spend on RIPMoney is gone. That is the entire point of the Website. Do not spend money you cannot afford to lose.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Website you represent that you meet these requirements. We may terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to a minor.

3. Your account

You can sign in with a one-time email link (passwordless login) or with a supported third-party provider such as Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account and sign-in links secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information, to keep it up to date, and not to impersonate anyone or use a username that is offensive, misleading or infringes someone else's rights. One person may hold one account; creating accounts to farm the leaderboard or manipulate trades is prohibited.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account forfeits any remaining credits and collectibles without compensation. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

4. Credits and payments

• Credits are a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use a feature of the Website. You do not own them and they are not your property.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details. Your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy.
• Prices are shown in US dollars and include the number of credits granted for each bundle. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
• Credits are granted to your account after Stripe confirms the payment. If a payment is reversed, charged back or refunded, we may remove the corresponding credits and suspend the account.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred or sold to other users.

5. Refunds and right of withdrawal

Credits are digital content delivered immediately. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. By completing checkout you expressly request immediate delivery of the credits and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the credits have been added to your account. Unused credits that have not yet been spent may still be refunded within 14 days on request at [email protected].

We may, at our sole discretion, refund a purchase in cases of duplicate charges or verified technical failure that prevented credits from being delivered.

6. Collectibles, trading and the leaderboard

Messages you unlock ("collectibles") are cosmetic entries in your account. They have no monetary value and remain our intellectual property; you receive only a personal, non-commercial licence to display them within the Website.

The Exchange lets you offer collectibles and accept or decline proposals from other users. Trades are between users; we do not guarantee, escrow, mediate or reverse them. Completed trades are final. Selling, buying or trading collectibles, credits or accounts for real money or anything of value outside the Website is prohibited and may result in termination.

Your chosen name appears publicly on the leaderboard and on certificates you generate. We may adjust, reset or remove leaderboard entries obtained through abuse, automation or exploits.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use bots, scripts, macros or automated clickers, or otherwise interfere with rate limits and game mechanics;
• probe, scan, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its accounts or its infrastructure;
• reverse engineer, scrape or copy substantial parts of the Website except as permitted by mandatory law;
• submit unlawful, hateful, harassing or infringing content, including in usernames and trade messages;
• use the Service for money laundering, fraud, chargeback abuse or on behalf of a sanctioned person or country;
• resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

8. Intellectual property

The Website, its name, logo, design, code, messages and other content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Website for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

If you submit content to the Website, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.

9. Availability and changes to the Service

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, including credits, collectibles, trading and the leaderboard, at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may perform maintenance without notice.

If we permanently discontinue the Service, we will make reasonable efforts to give advance notice. Unspent credits may be lost when the Service ends, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we suspect fraud or abuse, or if required by law. Termination forfeits remaining credits and collectibles without refund, except where a refund is legally required.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing on the Website is financial, legal or tax advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits, data or goodwill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or the statutory rights of consumers.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you submit.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. For material changes we will provide reasonable notice, for example by email or a notice on the Website. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Disputes

If something goes wrong, please contact us first at [email protected]. Most problems are resolved quickly and informally, and we would rather fix an issue than argue about it.

These Terms are governed by the law of the country in which we are established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence and to rely on the protections that country gives you. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

15. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
